Cœur des sciences
The mission of Cœur des sciences is to foster the development of scientific literacy in the general public. It also provides an opportunity to discuss social, political and economic issues related to science and technology.
Centre de design
Dedicated to the promotion and recognition of design, the Centre de design presents exhibitions that illustrate historical and current trends in graphic, industrial and urban design, architecture, and fashion.
Galerie de l’UQAM
The Galerie de l’UQAM organizes and holds exhibitions of contemporary Quebec, Canadian and international art, produced mainly by recognized curators.
Outdoor public spaces
UQAM’s outdoor public spaces include Place Pasteur, in front of the Athanase-David Pavilion; the bell tower of the Judith-Jasmin Pavilion; and the facades of the Design and President Kennedy pavilions. Each year, these spaces are used for occupation projects and architectural projections.
Dance Pavilion
The Dance Pavilion has two very functional performance spaces that are open to the public. These spaces are used both by UQAM and by dance companies and independent dancers.
Centre de diffusion et d’expérimentation (CDEx)
Located on the corner of Saint-Denis and Sainte-Catherine streets, CDEx is a venue for exhibition and experimentation by Masters and PhD students in Visual and Media Arts. People outside these two programs also can present their projects here.
Centre Pierre-Péladeau (salle Pierre-Mercure)
Since October 1992, the Centre Pierre-Péladeau has been considered a major venue for the production and presentation of the performing arts in Montreal.
Cinemas
The Audiovisual Service has two cinemas located in the Judith-Jasmin Annex at 1564 Saint-Denis Street, in the heart of the Latin Quarter.
Theatre spaces
The Studio-d’essai Claude-Gauvreau can be used for shows, symposia, conferences, talks and public meetings.
